Cliffhouse Tagaytay: Food plus View of Taal Lake

Sunday, October 11, 2015

"Where can I have a very good overlooking view of the Taal Lake?", as many of the visitors in Tagaytay would have this question in mind, I'm happy that we already found it.

Taal Lake can be viewed at The Cliffhouse Tagaytay. What should you be doing and/or paying to get it? You have two choices. One is you can dine in their food restaurants and establishments. The other option is to pay for the parking as to pay for your stay while viewing it. Upon arrival, the guard gave us a ticket. He told us that parking can be free by giving it to the cashier of the food establishment that we'll be dining. The cashier gave us then a coupon/stub.

We didn't know that this place exist. I account that to the unnoticeable signs along the highway. Of course, when you type where to go in Tagaytay, the usual places will be the result. Sometimes, it is really better to take the off beaten road. :)

The US ambiance, as a fellow blogger said, found in Tagaytay setting is a unique idea. We were very lucky to see the Taal Lake clearly. The photos we took is incomparable to the actual scenery. We just had to make our skins develop some melanin. #ChemEngNerdAlert

It takes two to tango

The place has a vast collection of flora. It was too hot that day that we didn't take lots of photos. We really enjoyed the ambiance.

WHERE TO EAT
They have restaurants and cafes like Cafe Breton, Cafe Platito, Fling Frozen Yogurt, Buon Giorno, Fire Lake Grill, Fruits in Ice Cream Summer Cafe, and The Sandwich CommuniTEA.

WHERE TO STAY
You can check in at The Inn at Cliffhouse Tagaytay.

HOW TO GET THERE

From the Tagaytay Rotonda, turn right and just watch for this sign along the main highway. Once you get past the Antonio's grill, Mile hi Diner, Carlos Pizza, etc., this is along the same row of restaurants before you reach the fork road of Petron Station. -source: ourawesomeplanet blog
